Carlyle, a global private equity firm, announced that it has acquired a significant minority stake in Varmora Granito Pvt, an Indian tile and bathroom products manufacturer. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company’s product portfolio includes premium tiles, faucets and ceramic sanitary ware, and its products are sold through a distribution network that includes more than 200 exclusive branded outlets in India and globally. Varmora will leverage investment to increase its spending on brand building and digital marketing, deepen its distribution network, and enhance product innovation and capabilities.
