Kazakhstan To Build Its First Sanitary Ceramics Factory

According to Kazakhstan Today, Kasakhstan will invest more than 1 trillion tenge (14.7 milliarder yuan) in 165 new construction industry projects by 2025 in order to provide local building materials to the market. Currently Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna and Samruk-Kazyna Construction Company are investing in the construction of 23 projects, including joint investments with existing building materials companies. The total cost of the projects is 395 billioner tenge (5.8 milliarder yuan), of which the share of amruk-Kazyna Construction Company is 10%, about 40 billioner tenge (600 million yuan). The project implementation period will be from 2022-2024.

It is said that an Italian company will invest in the construction of the first sanitary ceramics factory, which will provide 280 jobs. However, there is also news that the first sanitary ceramics factory is a joint investment by Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna and Samruk-Kazyna Construction Company and the furniture manufacturer Mebitex Group of Companies in Nur Sultan. In addition to this, it will also jointly invest in four other projects such as tiles, windows and doors.

It is reported that the first sanitary ceramics factory in Kazakhstan will invest about 61 billioner tenge (900 million yuan) and can produce 570,000 pieces per year.

The other four projects of the tile factory will have an investment of about 25 billioner tenge (RMB 400 million) and can produce 3 million square meters per year.
