The Philippine Bureau of Standards BPS has recently issued Administrative Order DAO 21-08 on the mandatory certification sector for ceramic sanitary ware CPFs. Its main purpose is to ensure that ceramic sanitary ware products listed for sale comply with Philippine standards and regulations. The Act will come into force 15 days after its publication in the Philippine National Newspaper. All manufacturers and importers will be required to complete the PS, SOC or ICC certification process 6 months after the implementation date. The CPFs certificate is valid for one importer and other importers will need to re-apply for the certificate. For multiple importers, before the Act comes into force, only the existing importer will use this PS certificate until the expiry of the certificate.
