In Luxembourg, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) recently rejected an appeal by bath manufacturer Kludi, which wanted to market its bathroom accessories under the EU trademark “Adlon”. Adlon” was previously registered in 2003 by Adlon Kempinski, a luxury hotel in Berlin. According to the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the German bathroom manufacturer Kludi cannot sell its showerheads, bathtubs and bidets under the protected EU trademark “Adlon”.
