I. The composition of the faucet
Faucets have seen a lot, but I wonder how much you know about the structure of the faucet in the end. Generally speaking, the faucet is divided into four parts: water, control, fixed and water inlet.
The faucet is fixed in the basin, sink and other locations through the fixed parts. The water enters the control part through the inlet hose, and then we adjust the water temperature and volume through the control part. Finally, the water flows out through the spout, the operation process is about this.
There are many kinds of water outlet parts, there is an ordinary water outlet, with the bend can turn the water outlet, pull-out water, waterfall water outlet, etc. In the purchase of faucets, pay attention to the size of the basin, sink into account.
II. Structure type
If it is divided according to the structure, the faucet can be divided into single-link type, double-link type and triple-link type and so on. In addition, there is single handle and double handle points (also called single and double control).
– Single-connected: can be connected to cold water or hot water pipe.
– Duplex: can simultaneously connect hot and cold two pipes, mostly used in the bathroom basin and kitchen sink faucet with hot water supply.
– Triplex: In addition to the hot and cold water pipes, it can also be connected to the shower nozzle. It is mainly used for bathtub faucets.

The combination of these two structures, there will be our common single single-connection single-control, double single-connection, double double-connection faucet and other options. How to choose depends on your use of location and habits.

Types and characteristics of faucets
1, Shower type faucet
Such a “mini-shower” has long-range rinse kitchen wall stains, easy to add water to the pot and other features. In order to facilitate daily use, the kitchen faucet should preferably be taller. The spout should preferably extend above the drain. The disadvantage is that you must have one hand free to hold the spout.
2, Single-handle, double-handle faucet
Hot and cold water discharge, and stop water with a handle to operate. Its hot water volume and temperature that can be controlled by adjusting the handle left and right rotation. Because it can be operated with one hand and easy to use, it is widely used in the kitchen.
And two-handle faucet is through the hot and cold water supply two handles to adjust the amount of water and temperature.
3, Automatic faucet
It is also called non-contact faucet. The sensor below the spout can detect the proximity of hands and dishes, thus controlling the discharge of water, and the faucet stops automatically when you leave. There is another type, just put your hand on the top of the faucet. The sensor senses and then discharges the water, and stops when the action is repeated.
In both cases, the smart sensor faucet can control the water flow even when both hands are occupied because it does not have to be operated by the handle. In cooking and cleaning, you can also avoid staining the faucet with oil or foam from your hands.
However, the sensor technology of such faucets on the market today is not very mature. They will occasionally appear faucet no induction, no water problems.
4, Point touch switch faucet
The switch at the top controls the drainage type of faucet. Touch with your hand or the back of your wrist, even if your hands are occupied, you can easily operate. In the case of cooking process, the handle will be dirty by hand, and this type of faucet is just controlled by palm, finger, and back of the hand touch. And because you can stop the water with a key, there are water-saving advantages.
5, Water purification special faucet (pre-filter)
In addition to hot and cold water faucets, some families will also be configured with a “water purifier faucet”. It is also called a water circuit protector.
Usually installed behind the water meter, filtering sediment, rust, large particles of material in the tap water. These are to prevent a large number of precipitated impurities in the water network to cause harm to humans. And it acts as a pre-protection against damage to water-related equipment installed on the water pipe.
It is necessary to pay attention to the regular observation of dirt deposition, and when there is more dirt, open the lower valve to flush out the dirt.
