Regarding the upgrading and development of traditional industries, General Secretary Xi Jinping made a profound observation this year:“We must adhere to adapting measures to local conditions, base ourselves on reality to promote the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and must not rush in all at once or follow trends recklessly, still less abandon the old in favor of the new and discard the advantages of traditional industries.”
Today, the traditional ceramics industry’s long-standing extensive production and mass-market business model has become difficult to sustain. The industry is thoroughly breaking out of the single manufacturing model and striving to advance toward high-value-added segments such as R&D, branding, and full-lifecycle services.

Amid industrial iteration, intelligent manufacturing is becoming a brand-new core element driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. The “Three-Year Action Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing in the Building Materials Industry (2024–2026)” clearly identifies ceramics and sanitary ware as a key transformation field.
At present,JOMOO, HEGII, ARROW, HUIDA, Solux, HUAYI, Hangbiao,Dijia Sanitary Ware, Seagull Living, Jianlin Home, Roca, Marco Polo, New Pearl, Monalisa, Dongpeng, Keda, Delitai, Modena, Xinjingtai, and other ceramics and sanitary ware enterprises have, by virtue of their advanced-level intelligent manufacturing capabilities, achieved value extension from point to line and from line to plane.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as ofJanuary 2026, a cumulative total of more than35,000basic-level intelligent factories and more than8,200advanced-level intelligent factories have been built nationwide.
Advanced-level intelligent manufacturing factories are both a response to national strategy and the only path for the industry to bid farewell to involution, break through via market segmentation, and win through specialization. For ceramics and sanitary ware enterprises, this means that in the future they will reconstruct production logic through digital intelligence and adapt to segmented demands through flexibility, shifting from the red ocean of the “price war” to the blue ocean of the “value war.”
As a traditional manufacturing industry, ceramics and sanitary ware currently sees varying results in the implementation of new technologies such as intelligent kilns,AI quality inspection, digital design, and flexible production lines. How to base oneself on an enterprise’s actual difficulties and, through intelligent transformation, ultimately form a competitive barrier of “having what others lack, being superior in what others have” is a challenge that current industry development must overcome.
In order to help the ceramics and sanitary ware industry firmly establish itself in segmented tracks and win through specialization by relying on hardcore intelligent manufacturing capabilities,at 13:30 on the afternoon of June 24, in the Forum Area of Hall 8.1, First Floor, Area A, Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex, Grandeur Exhibition, Kitchen & Bath Information, and Ceramics Information will jointly host the2026Ceramics and Sanitary Ware Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Conference.
Themed“Market Segmentation, Winning Through Specialization,” the conference specially invites elite figures such as representatives of outstanding industry enterprises to focus on intelligent production and digital transformation, integrate the personalized demands of segmented markets, and drive the industry to confront real challenges and accelerate intelligent transformation across the entire industry.
Some of the specially invited guests are as follows(in no particular order):
